俳優としてブレイクする以前の10代後半にストリップダンサーとして働いていたChanning Tatumが演じる”MAGIC MIKE”は全世界で1億5890万5241ドルを売上げ、ダンス映画として過去最高の成績をあげた。アメリカンコメディにありがちな、エッチでお馬鹿な何も考えずに見れる軽めの映画と思いきや、貧富較差や、人間育成、見ている人の日常の些細な悩みをジワジワと浮き彫りにしてくるような…良い意味で裏切られる映画。

Magic Mike is a 2012 American comedy-drama film.The plot revolves around Adam, a 19-year-old who enters the world of male stripping, guided by Mike Lane, who has been in the business for six years.The film is loosely based on the experiences of Tatum, who was an 18-year-old stripper in Tampa, Florida. Magic Mike was filmed in several locations around west central Florida. The film premiered as the closing film for the 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival on June 24, 2012.

『きみに読む物語』等で知られるアメリカ合衆国のベストセラー作家ニコラス・スパークスの小説を映画化した作品。短い休暇で帰省した軍人の青年が偶然出会った女子大生と恋に落ちて激しく愛し合うが、やがて訪れる切ない運命に翻弄されていく姿を描くピュア・ラブストーリー。忘れられない恋や大切な人を思う気持ちを、確かな表現力で見せていく繊細な演技も見逃せない。

Dear John is a 2010 American romantic drama-war film starring Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum. The film was directed by Lasse Hallström, and it is an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ 2006 novel of the same name. It follows the life of a soldier (Channing Tatum) after he falls in love with a young woman (Amanda Seyfried). They decide to exchange letters to each other after he is deployed to the war.
